2. Here's an actual one.
If I've made any major goofs, let me know. I haven't sent them yet, but one for each Senator is ready to go.

Dear Senator ,

I am writing to you to request that you support your colleague, Representative Conyers, on January 6, 2005 to contest the 2004 election.

I have read about so many instances of voter suppression, inequality in the distribution of voting machines, unreasonably long lines at the polls, machine malfunctions, and even the suggestion of purposeful fraud, that my confidence in the outcome of this election has been shaken.

I love this country, and have always felt such a sense of pride in the freedoms we enjoy. Having my voice heard through the election process is dear to me. I need to know that this right is still intact and the process is still a legitimate one.

Please support Representative Conyers. I would feel so proud if both a Representative and a Senator from Michigan would stand together in this vitally important matter.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering my request.

Respectfully,
