I've emailed Leahy and Jeffords stating that although I have misgivings about the wisdom of this move, I believe that they should stand with Senator Boxer. As long as it's going to happen, we need as many dems on board as we can get. It'll be more difficult for the rethugs and the MSM to marginalize them as representatives of the "loony left", if there are a substantial number of them objecting.

I've stated several times that I'll gladly apologize if the objection leads to a higher profile for election reform, and greater public involvement in the issue. Being wrong would give me great pleasure.
