Using the word God in that way supports the people who do think God is an old dude in the sky. Like when I read Gandhi's work, he seems to have a similar definition of the word God. With the result that he's always pulled out in debates to defend religion, as if a few good individuals could wipe out the stains of millenia of bloodshed and broken people.
People will think that you mean their definition of the word when you use it because I don't think they can comprehend your definition. I get it and I agree with you for the most part, but I am beginning to realize that some people's brains are a hell of a lot different than yours and mine.
