I mean, isn't that what it's all about, anyway? Those are always the best parts of the Christmas songs, anyway (especially in Pinkham's Christmas Triptych "et in terra pax ominibus bona voluntatis!")*. The fundies can't hate it, because it's the angels' words, non-fundie Christians can appreciate it because it's closer to Christ's actual teachings, and non-Christians can enjoy heaping coals of fire on the fundie's heads by reminding them of what they should be, but aren't. It's a win-win for everybody.

*sorry, my longtime choir nerd is coming out.
