.285 career BA
.344 On base pct.
282 Hrs, 277 as a second baseman which until 2004 was the most ever by a second baseman.
1381 runs scored
1061 RBI's.
Ryno's induction is overdue. If Ozzie Smith gets in the first time (he did), then Ryno most certainly should have. Congrats to one of the greatest second basemen as well as one of my favorite players of all time, Ryne Sandberg. Now it's time to get Ron Santo in. March should do it. Thats when the old timers committee meets.
Ryno also has the best career fielding percentage (.989) among second basemen, as well as five grand slams and five .300 or better batting averge seasons. There can be no doubt about his induction.
