2. Win98 never really deletes anything
you hit the delete key on cookies, etc. and the screen blanks and it looks like they're gone but they're not really gone. Windoze just hides them. Run the following

To delete old Win98 files

On bootup hit F8 and choose command prompt option. You can’t exit to DOS and do this.

Type the following commands-hit enter after each one.

SMARTDRV

CD WINDOWS

DELTREE /Y COOKIES

DELTREE /Y HISTORY

DELTREE /T TEMP

DELTREE /Y TEMPOR~1

The last two may take awhile. Then reboot into Windows and run defrag.
