Java question

Keeping an eye on the weather radar here and have to have Java enabled to view some of the graphics. Noticed recently that I'm getting a pop-up 'Java Console' window that reads as follows:

Java Plug-in 1.5.0_06
Using JRE version 1.5.0_06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Documents and Settings\User

----------------------------------------------------
c: clear console window
f: finalize objects on finalization queue
g: garbage collect
h: display this help message
l: dump classloader list
m: print memory usage
o: trigger logging
p: reload proxy configuration
q: hide console
r: reload policy configuration
s: dump system and deployment properties
t: dump thread list
v: dump thread stack
x: clear classloader cache
0-5: set trace level to <n>
----------------------------------------------------

Java Runtime Version = 1.5.0_06
AnimationS applet (AniS) -- Revision: 2.75 Date: 2006/05/09 15:39:40

The options given are 'clear', 'copy' and 'close'.

It's not a major aggravation, but is a small annoyance. Not sure why it's appearing, what I'm supposed to do with it or how/if it can be gotten rid of.

Info that may or may not be helpful:

Windows XP
Mozilla Firefox

Under Firefox 'Extensions', I'm seeing - 'J2SE (TM) Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6' but the buttons for 'uninstall, options, and find updates' are not active.

I'm guessing it's something I added/downloaded incorrectly and may just be stuck with.

You all have been so helpful in the past, thought I'd ask here if anyone knows how to get rid of the pop-up.

Thanks in advance
