This sort of foreshadowing of a seemingly random event is generally a sign to pay greater attention.

My first psychic experience that had a direct hingepoint with my physical reality was when I was very young. I saw my cousin's funeral in a dream. I played with him every day in my youth and he shared my birthday, though was two years younger. I cried for two days after having that dream.

Then he died. . .well it's a long story but someone who was very wise simply told me later after beaucoup consternation on my part, that "sensitives often process traumas before they happen so they can be stronger and more present for those who are not forewarned and who therefore react more adversely to a loss." It rang true. I had to inform a lot of extended family members. They were flipped.

This kid was a golden child. Having cried for two days before the fact, I was a rock and was able to comfort those who were not forewarned.

Of course, thoughts of being able to prevent the tragedy crossed my mind. But like you, the image I saw in the dream was non specific. I saw the funeral but I only knew that the person in the coffin had red hair. I've lots of red haired cousins. I called one of their houses but hung up before I could speak because what could I say as a kid. . .? "Don't leave the house for six months" or something? Though I targeted the right household I was intending on warning an older red head as it was beyond comprehension to me at the time that my younger cousin could be in danger.

You will hone your skills over time.
