I am going to join this thread in earnest when I can get some decent pics of my two boys, Spidey and Jake.

Even though I have four wonderful children, and five wonderful grandchildren, these two boys are very special to me (and, when I talk to them, I refer to myself in relation to them as "mama").

Our special "little ones", whether they be dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. are really more a part of our lives in ways that our kids and grandchildren can't be.

For instance, they live with us. Not only that, they sleep with us (in the way that THEY choose). They can watch us taking showers (or baths), and, they can sit at the bathroom door demanding to be let in with many the paws under the door.

At the end of the day, these sweet creatures will never hold a grudge, will never gossip to someone else about you, and, most important, they will always believe that YOU are the best thing that has ever happened to them.

I feel so blessed that my two boys decided to allow me to adopt them. I also feel blessed that they decided to stay.
