15. breathe. remember to ground yourself with the truly necessary "things" of life, i.e. love.
often love relationships are shattered from the discordant energy created from economic stress. but these are the things we most need in our lives -- they are the things we look back upon at the end of our lives and think most fondly of.

so before that next argument over money, between a loved one (including yourself) and yourself, take a count to 10 and breathe deeply. then think, "if i die tomorrow, will i be heartbroken this is no longer in my life." if the answer is yes, you now have a priority for which to fight for and stay level headed about. if no, you are probably scattering much needed energy on something that is not that important.

that's 1. you have now found things of prime importance.

2. how to rebuild, or how to find things of secondary importance.

look back on those things you just judged as not of prime importance and now ask, after breaathing, "if i am forced to live another 20-30 years, and i am responsible for the livelihood and well being of another (include yourself in here), can this be crucial to rebuilding my life and fortunes." this might include a car, or a box of CDs, or even a paint brush or culinary knife set, or even a rolodex of long lost acquaintances. whatever the object, if judged yes, these are now items of secondary importance.

3. since this is a time of crisis, everything else that does not fit in the first quadrant of priorities of things to do will be essentially ignored. judge things that are important in Y-axis, and time as X-axis. divide this graph into 4 sections. that which is most important, and has closest deadline (we'll call this quadrant 1) will be everything to you in the next few days or weeks. please do include personal sanity as a priority; a lot of people do forget...

perfection is the enemy of the good. aim to survive, and survive well -- do not expect perfection. in reality, especially in crisis, expectations of perfection lead to paralysis or self-destruction. discard the ideal, embrace the real, especially the love.

now i'm off to think of sunshine and bubbles and pretty shafts of light... :7 O8)
