12. It definitely reminds me of the time in early 1999
when I was talking to a fellow resident of my apartment in Portland, a woman who was a major Republican donor there. She told me confidently that G.W. Bush was going to be the nominee in 2000. I hadn't revealed my own sympathies at that point, but I had read what Molly Ivins said about the Bushboy, so I said, "There are a lot of people out there making exploratory bids. What makes you so sure that he's going to be the nominee? He doesn't sound very qualified."

Not a bright woman, she let it slip that the major donors had already been told who the nominee was going to be.

It's all a big charade.

Working on the Kucinich campaign and its aftermath in 2004 ripped the blindfold off my eyes. The last wound was when Dennis was scheduled to speak at the convention. Here he is one of the most inspiring speakers they have, and they scheduled him in the LAST slot BEFORE the nationwide network coverage began, so that only the CSPAN junkies saw him
