I thought the same thing about David & Keith adopting Maya. But I'll bet Ruth will put up a fight, because that will be a 'bit of Nate'. I don't think Ruth and Brenda have all that cosy of a relationship either. Not nasty, just not close. I agree Brenda is the only mother-figure Maya has known, so it would make sense if Brenda kept her. Did you see the previews for next week's show? There is one snippet where David is talking to Brenda about the funeral arrangements, and Brenda is saying that she just doesn't know what Nate would want. At that point, Ruth shows up, and is screaming something about still being Nate's mother, and wanting to be heard about what SHE wants. Could portend to the Maya thing as well....
