22. I give Kerry the credit - it wasn't the questions
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 09:34 AM by karynnj
but the answers and, in fact, Kerry volunteered so much beyond the questions - that he in fact controlled the interview. One of the questions was just silly - was Bush acting like a dictator. (Almost as silly as Imus asking if Cheney was a war criminal)

I guess the question is will that mean Press will actually mentally change his view of where Kerry was. I'm also really not convinced that a strong repudiation of the vote would have helped, because Kerry really did have the ant-war vote (even if they weren't super happy with him. For Kerry the repudiation of the vote was sort of coupled with a complete rejection of the idea that Bush was an honest man with any integrity, who deserved the support that Kerry had said was right to give Presidents. Given Kerry's values, this is a strikingly harsh verdict on Bush.
