What exactly happened this week? Was Kerry being undermined by people in his own party? Like, for example, the fact that the time hadn't been allotted for the Kerry/Feingold amendment, and then Levin immediately wanted to be out of there. And the fact that that debate was so late at night, after the evening news broadcasts. And that NYT hit piece -- was there, in fact, some truth in there? Why was Warner so nice to Kerry? Was it just because of the McConnell fiasco last week, or did he witness meanspiritedness even from the other side of the aisle that led him to intervene and try to right the wrong done to Kerry. What happened???? Because I feel like Kerry, with a few backers, was left to fend for himself without it being set up. And being relegated to the night shift. I realize this is politics, but it doesn't mean it's excuseable. What happened to professionalism and letting everyone have their say?
