I doubt the little ones will be buying photos, although the kids really do get involved with the race. There are always a lot of teachers who volunteer along the Iditarod Trail and the kids can follow along at the website with GPS. :)

Yes, I've sold some photos before, but I've given away more. I've sold a few to mushers or their families, but I just don't have the heart to charge them most of the time, especially the teams at the back of the pack. I really liked the woman making this request; she was very genuine and a solid Democrat. I may just send her the photos for a nominal fee (for IRS purposes, so I can show a little income) and trust her not to use them for anything else.

You can tell I'm more into the creative side of photography than I am the commercial. I have no concept of how to value my work, I guess because it's so much fun I feel like I shouldn't get paid for it. :rofl:
