... the government's database for employers to check whether prospective employees are lawfully present and work authorized. Both the House and Senate bills currently under consideration contain provisions for replacing the current I-9 process with manditory usage of this external verification database. One step closer to a "Your papers, please!" society, but, alas, people are so up in arms about illegal immigration, they're willing to break a lot of eggs to make this omelette.
