The article starts off sounding like the guy is praising the war at first, but then you get to this part......

“It is good now that Saddam is gone, but the situation is worse now,” Alaredy said.

He said most of the Iraqi population believes the United States and coalition forces are responsible for the disruption and chaos found in the country - many holding the belief the American government is even funding the activities of Al-Queda. He is also of that opinion.

“From the oldest person to the smallest child, they will tell you the United States is behind Al-Queda,” he said. “Bush is there for one reason and one reason only - oil. People believe that the new government is doomed to fail as long as the United States is involved. The perception among the people is that the United States is the cause of all of the troubles and once they leave things will improve.

“Our culture is very old and has been intact for hundreds of years,” Alaredy said of Iraq. “Life is stable for most people in Iraq, and the society will eventually stabilize itself much as it has in the past.”

my town is SOOO right wing, this guy better watch it, or these 'merkins are gonna lynch him.
