We are at that, my friend.

Like being down 150 feet in the cold, murky, gloom and having to pull your J valve, for the last few breaths of air left in the tank. You can almost hear America screaming, like those old Healthways scuba regulators screamed, when your air supply was almost gone. A scary reminder that it really was time to cut and run for the surface!

Indeed, the saddest times for America, that I've lived through.
