But......and this is a very big but......while they may come home alive and well, the contaminants in the air and water in Iraq will remain with them, and it will mean that the US will either spend a great deal of money looking after these men and women, or will break the contract to care for the warrrior.

Seventy percent of the veterans of the first gulf war and their families are receiving medical care resulting from their stint in Iraq. Knowing this, that the Bush administration would send servicemen back into that hellhole is beyond my comprehension.
