8. The "gateway" concept is itself flawed.
There is no such thing. I think the bigger issue is the lack of good education. If kids weren't constantly lied to about the dangers of pot, they wouldn't be so surprised to find out how harmless it really is and then start questioning the dangers of other drugs.

As for beer and hard liquor...well most of the people I grew up with got drunk off hard liquor first. Cherry Brandy here. Can't even smell the stuff now without gagging.
