Amnesty???????????? [View All]

Okay, am I missing something? I read somewhere (I think it was DailyKos, DU) that some Republican Senators, including Ted Stevens and Mitch McConnell were all for the idea of amnesty for insurgents in Iraq, even if they killed Americans. And yet, there was no mention of that on the Sunday morning shows that I watched this morning: Meet the Press, Face the Nation. This Week was pre-empted here. Did anyone catch anything that I did not hear? I would like to know what Senators support the idea of amnesty and what, if anything, the Senate or House is going to do about it. I seem to remember Senator Nelson from Florida discussing this on the floor of the Senate. Did Russ Feingold say anything and I just missed it? Fill me in will you, DUers. Thanks
