· Morning Edition starts a week-long series on the immigration debate and starts off today laughing. Enter Carlos Mencia of Comedy Central fame. His father is Honduran and is mother is Mexican, but as he tells Steve Inskeep, he can trace a lineage back to the Cayman Islands, England and Germany. Mencia does what he calls "compassionate comedy" and says he is a conservative who is pro-immigration.

Carlos Mencia can kiss my fucking ass.
