I taught a course on American music years ago & used Baraka's book BLUES PEOPLE as one of the the texts. People have come up to me years later & thanked me for a class in which they actually learned something.

I enjoyed hearing him on Laura Flander's show this evening.

I like poetry. I'm kind of odd that way. I liked posting a poem here. It didn't get a lot of response, but what there was was fiery.

I want ALL the answers. No matter how bitter a pill it is to swallow. Just gimme some truth...
