First of all, I didn't say my people are any better than your people. I don't claim any performers from any time period as "my own".

Secondly, if you don't think there's a difference between the early days of rock and today's days....of what it takes to make a huge name for yourself...then I'd suggest you rent the nearest time machine and go and see for yourself. In the older days, for the most part, you didn't make it big unless you had talent. Today, there are plenty of cases where talent doesn't even factor into the occasion. Don't get me wrong, there is some great talent out there today, too, but there are just as many big name "entertainers" today who have zero talent but a great body and face, along with rich agents pushing them along.

As far as what I said in the other post, I said "if you're only talking about TODAY'S overhyped nothings, like Brittany and things like boybands....". I didn't say EVERYONE. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing.
