I'm still hunkered down at home. Electricity on and off. Raining still.

My friend with an inn in Guerneville said on the phone to me that there's 6' of water in her main building. She's been stuck at her house down the road and can't get to her inn. 10 feet of floodwater on the road out, with a tree across her road with downed power line, so no boat has come for her. She has no electricity, so I call regularly and read the numbers from all the bridges on the Russian River and extrapolate when upstream water will hit us. I had no idea that it takes 18 hours for water to get here from Cloverdale. Also, looking at the numbers of what's being released from the reservoir. A lot of the problem is the changing of the river from meandering to vineyards straightening the river, which makes it faster. Also, shoring up the banks of the river to protect vineyards, makes the water flow faster and higher.

Santa Rosa released overflow crap from their shit processing plants today, so thanks for that. I drink that water.

My husband has been in South Bay with his mother in intensive care. She's in a regular room now and he's going to try to make it home Monday pm. I'll be asking neighbors about backroads as River Road is closed now.
