15. machines

problem is that it would take years to rebuild our industrial base again. the thousands of companies what went out of business also took with them the machinery of production. hundreds of thousands of machines were melted down or sold to korea and taiwan during the 70`s and 80`s. look at everything in your house and remember almost everything was made in the usa at one time now probably less than 30%. even if they are made the usa many of the parts are made in south east asia..we would be screwed for years if we needed to rebuild our machines.
we always have mexico, russia, eastern europe, and africa for lost cost goods to fill up the big box stores. computer parts maybe a big problem because all the tooling and production are in those countries.

the biggest problem for the usa is that the winds over china blow across the usa and of course mangoes
