72. Upon reflection and after calming down a bit
I realize it's really about perception. My wife and I both experienced poverty in our lives. I mean real tough times. We both also have experienced abundance. Right now, it's about half way in between.

The big difference is simple. What we saw as poverty in our own lives years ago and actually what passes as being poor today is not the same.

What passes as poor today is a far cry from what we have experienced. We would have given our eye teeth to be considered "poor" as some of the people today who qualify as poor.

When my wife sees well dressed people with nice jewelry and many real 20's and 50's being pulled out of purses and wallets to pay for non food items after they just spend $300.00 for food and still have 1,000 left in their Food Stamp card, it rubs her the wrong way in a big way.

It's really about perception.
