It's an individual voter issue. Your vote is your representation in Washington. If they want to be re-elected to represent you, they will listen.

If you don't tell them where you as one of their constituents stand on fast evolving issues, then they'll use their resources on other issues that are known.

A vote is a terrible thing to waste. A hundred calls means another hundred thousand that didn't get a chance to call to the rep. They are influenced by calls not in proportion to the individual, but the interest in an issue.

Sometimes it takes more than one set of calls, but over time it makes a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE.

Keep the pressure on...turn the pressure up!

Anyone that hasn't called their reps before, or gave up on calling...I urge you to paticipate. Al Gore told us recently that "We the People" are the only ones that can take back our country and protect and defenc the Constitution.

I take him at his word, and my take is that citizenship is a non-passive activity.
