But a silent boycott does nothing to address the issue. An effective boycott would have been brought up in the immediate aftermath of the 2000 rigged election. It would have been organized by some democratic group and received plenty of press as to why the boycott was taking place. It would not only have created a public relations nightmare for Florida, but would also have dealt a serious blow to the Florida tourism industry.

But none of this has happened.

But in all honesty, a boycott of this magnitude would be an incredible feat to pull off considering that Florida's tourism economy has survived hurricanes, crime waves against tourists and skyrocketing hotel prices.
