43. We had home (hospice) care for my cousin for about 4 weeks.

She had liver failure at 49. Nurses first came every couple of days after she was sent home from the hospital. Then every day and when we knew she needed more medication than we felt quailified to give, they were there 24 hours a day. The same 2 nurses. One on the day shift (12 hours) and one on the night shift. Several family members stayed too and we all got along very well with the nurses attending to her needs. When it was all over we felt the nurses were part of the family and they had made it all much easier for the family.
They were wonderful and I will never forget their kindness.
Edited to clarify: home hospice or home health care. I'm not sure which is correct.
