My Dear President: Letters Between Presidents and Their Wives

Museum curator Gerard Gawalt publishes personal correspondence between U.S. presidents and their wives in his latest book, "My Dear President." The author reads portions of the cards, letters and telegrams he collected from the Library of Congress and other libraries during an event hosted by Joseph Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Gerard Gawalt is a curator of the papers of presidential families in the Manuscript Division of the Library of Congress. He is the co-author of "First Daughters" with his daughter Ann Gawalt and co-authored "The Declaration of Independence and the Evolution of the Text" with Julian Boyd.
