Undocumented workers come to this country because their families need to EAT.

Not to steal jobs. Not to use up services. Not to fullfill some paranoid ideation of an economy of lack.

They come here to try to feed their family. And while they are here, they are as vulnerable as possible.

We are too far removed from that kind of hunger to understand.
