He admitted he prayed about invading Iraq, and has said God will judge him about it, but I don't think he's ever claimed to have got the go-ahead from above.

(Though that does leave open the 'Homer Simpson' scenario - something along the lines of "Dear God, if you don't want me to eat this doughnut/invade Iraq, give me a sign in the next 2 seconds ... Thank you. {munch})
