My moms folks live out there.
My aunt was homophobic until I came out to her as transgender and threatened to knock the shit out of her for being such a bigot in the middle of her homophobic rant at the TV. I got in her face and told her that I was ashamed to be related to her if she really believes that bullshit she was spewing because it applies to ME your GAY TRANSGENDERED Niece/Nephew!!... She shut her trap after that. I haven't seen her much after that. She treats me ok when I do see her tho. If she gets phobic on me again I'll let her have it again.And I wont be so "tolerant" next time around. I will ask her if she is really saying I am not a human being,that she wish I was dead..? if she hems and haws or makes excuses I'll punch her in the face and dare her to smear her own niece that she knew ever since she was a baby,me the queer..And I will treat her as my enemy.

And sadly it will hurt me if I ever have to do this to her. Facing the cognitive dissonance of two images. One of the kind aunt you loved and the other of a sick woman a fanatic inhabiting my aunts body turned her into a bigot and who's faith makes her hate me like some vicious rabid dog who has no mind to recognize loved ones anymore because they are GAY..It feels like A movie of invasion of the bible based body snatchers...Can these fanatics ever see through their hate to EVER know how bad their biblical brainwashing hurts gay people in their families who once loved them as their family.. Sometimes I HATE the bible and wish religion was dead and there were no churches and the brainwashed would wake up realize they are being programmed and stop being so crazy..
