...for whatever reason. we have witnessed a coup in 2000 and ongoing election fraud, an illegal war and unvarnished trampling of the constitution. if your argument is that the people can be excused for their failure to become active because there is no draft, good luck to you. in my view the fact that democrats, republicans, and the people failed to correctly sum up the lessons of the 60's is why we are where we are today.

i agree that a draft would spark huge protests. i believe it's coming.
