1. I was there and got to shake his hand!
It was pretty cool...there were about a thousand people there. There was one moran there with a sign that had "Colbert" crossed out and said "Literacy not Idiocy" (I'm not sure what his point was, either) but everyone else was very supportive. He spent more time walking through the crowd shaking hands and talking than he did giving his speech which was pretty cool of him. Pretty much anyone who wanted to shake his hand got to. He looked like he was genuinely enjoying it.
