12. Anger based may be a better term
Liberals get angry of course, but there are specific targets (generally) War, insane corporate profits, social injustice, lack of health care etc, Labor practices etc. When we argue among ourselves, it tends to be more about method and approach rather than content.

Conservatives are angry in a a far more generalized, wildly destructive way, ie. 'Big' government, Taxes, Gays destroying family values,(?) Mexicans etc. For example, I have a friend at work who despises illegal immigration, brings up 'my tax dollars' on the topic frequently yet knows absolutely nothing about the history of either Mexico or immigration itself. What I do with her--since I like her-- is side step the topic a bit and bring in a new dimension. Instead of 'blaming' Mexicans, I ask that she takes a look at both the historical and current US and Mexican government policies prior to angrily blaming a entire race of people.

(It might be worth mentioning that we're both nurses)

While a case could be made (and boy has it) that many progressives argue angrily about the topic of immigration, I find it far easier to find a respect for the sense of how history affects current affairs, and far less outright of the-- not only not acknowledged-- but completely unrecognized racism that comes from entitlement.
