The tube had nada about nation of origin, so I pulled the boxes out of the closet and too a magnifying glass to them ;)

One of the first things the GOP Congress did after bush was sworn in was to shit-can Nation of Origins label requirements on foods. I am wondering if it has been restored as I am seeing labels on produce again.

The corporations do not recognize national laws anymore, therefor, nations are just illusion. And outsourcing is not just about saving $$ on wages. Less fussy worker protections abroad and less concern about safety, contaminates, and so on. Much cheaper to do business where you can do as you damn well please and the serfs can't sue your ass.

As we lose more jobs and get hungrier here, just watch as people scream to gut any laws the corporations can convince them are the reasons they are moving jobs out. We will be begging to be poisoned here pretty soon. Racing to third world status while the freepers blindly chant We're #1!

But, I digress... Your teeth are bright and your breath minty-fresh, America. Don't bother with the fine print. It won't save us in the end ;)
