3. OK, the bottom just dropped out of my guts.

That happened on my first plane trip when I was seven. The plane ended up doing a belly landing after it had circled the field for two hours to use up fuel and allow fire trucks and ambulances to assemble below.

Everybody was OK save for bangs and bruises, thanks to the skill of the pilot.

There is nothing quite like watching all the rescue services assemble and realizing that they're for you.
