and remember how he got his ass chewed out and told that Saudi Arabia will, in essence, make life completely miserable for Cheney and the oil companies if the US pulled out of Iraq and hung the Sunni's out to dry? The shrine attacked was a Shiite shrine. And, consider how Sunnis have been locked out of the Iraqi govenment. I've got to go do some research to back this up, but I've been noticing a trend since then of the Bush "administration" subtly favoring the Sunnis ever since which is a reverse from the blocking out of Saddam's Sunni's sect. This bombing is right up Cheney's and Negroponte's alley and I don't doubt for a second that they may well be behind this.

This begs the further question, what is Cheney trying to pressure Bush to do in Iraq?
