I remember THIS case from a few years ago. Two men murdered under similar circumstances:

Seven charged with murder in mob beatings

Calling the attacks "brutal, inhumane and vicious," a Cook County judge Saturday ordered two of seven men charged with last week's vigilante murders held without bond.

"If this is their idea of justice, they are in the wrong city," said Judge Nicholas Ford in denying bond to Robert Tucker, 20, and Antonio Fort, 16.

The other suspects also charged Saturday with first-degree murder- -Henry Lawrence, 47; his brother Roosevelt Lawrence, 43; Lamont Motes, 20; James Ousley, 31, and Ricky Lawson, 43--could have bond hearings as soon as today, a Cook County state's attorney's office spokesman said.

At least three of the seven charged with pulling two men from a van and beating them to death are relatives of women injured in the van accident that precipitated the fatal attack, authorities say.
