To be honest, I don't "get" the desire to gossip about people who can't respond to defend themselves. It seems weak to me, and it lacks integrity. Anyone who really wants to know what he is up to is welcome to find him at other boards and ask.
There are some posters I've met at DU and other boards that I really like. They seem like real people to me. Some I despise. Their conversation illustrates what I consider to be the worst of human characteristics. Most I am neutral about. Who knows who really lies behind someone's screen name? That goes for all of DU and other boards.
If you really want to know what he says about DU, here is his response:
On election night 2004 someone either used my password (guessed it or had access to it from another board) or hacked my IP address to send vile messages claiming I had been FOR YEARS a freeper mole.
I was tombstoned immediately and was never able to defend myself with the masses. I sent my personal info and bona fides (internet articles proving who I was and my progressive activist antiBush bona fides) to skinner et al and even Will Pitt (who bashed me in one thread and piled on with his "belief" that I might be a troll despite a ton of real life articles etc I sent him with my personal and contact info). What bullshit. Never even a reply from the admins there.
Only Andy Stephenson defended me (he and I spoke periodically and were friends) and minstrelboy (Jeff Wells at Rigorous Intuition) and both of them tried to help with the DU admins (but to no avail - remember any of you how they failed to intervene with Andy's freeper attacks and even indicated he might be faking his cancer to raise money? - dreadful!).
