6. Yes, because they're getting such a great deal now, being exploited

without any hope of becoming part of the fabric of society. And the alternative--going back to Mexico to live in utter poverty--is that a great deal too? I have little sympathy for these illegals, and yet, between the xenophobia-vs.-corporate greed dynamic of the right, and the union/blue-collar protectionism of the left, they are kind of trapped in a no-man's land. What to do with them, considering we aren't about to deport 12 million of them?
