6. there are some of the amendments the Dems want to put forward
The Senate could hold a number of votes on Iraq in July:



Levin (D-MI) - Reed (D-RI): amendment to mandate a change of policy by early next year
Feingold (D-WI) - Reid (D-NV): amendment to force the withdrawal of most troops by April 2008
Clinton (D-NY) - Byrd (D-WV): amendment to overturn the 2002 Iraq War resolution authorizing war
Webb (D-VA): amendment to block military units from being sent back to Iraq until they have been stateside as long as they were in a combat zone.
Salazar (D-CO): amendment to endorse the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group

Biden (D-DE) - Boxer (D-CA): amendment on partition of Iraq

Skelton (D-MO): amendment to overturn the 2002 authorization to go to wa
A prohibition on permanent military bases in Iraq
Murtha (D-PA): amendment to block military units from being sent to Iraq until they have been stateside as long as they were in a combat zone
