It's clear now: By September, Bush will have started a war with Iran [View All]

The reason the Bush admin wants us to wait until September, or more accurately, is pleading with GOP dissenters to wait, is that by then, there will be no way to withdraw. The Bush admin will have started a war with Iran. It's also clear that the intent isn't to engage in a ground war, but rather, a bombing and missile campaign. This would be completely disastrous, not only for our soldiers in Iraq, but also for the world. Our already strained relations with China and Russia, as well as the entire Middle East, brings into question the sanity of those who would seek yet another agressive initiation of war. This would be direct, knowing disruption of Russia and China's oil supply and another inconsistent policy toward a Muslim nation (think Korea).

Yes, be sure, it is indeed coming unless Congress puts a stop to it. But what is even more frightening is that Congress is already showing signs of approval with the Senate's unanimous vote last week on a resolution declaring that Iran's actions have been acts of war. Have the Democrat's forgotten Cheney's 1% doctrine insane policy? I doubt it. And that is what worries me the most.
