13. When it comes to most subjects of controversy ....
one is hard-pressed to find certain facts. It helps to not yield to the temptation to go black or white on any subject in the mainstream. Rather than jump the gun and take a side, it is best to continue to observe the data available and watch as the scenario unfolds.

In many respects, there are issues like propaganda, profit, and manipulation that cloud many issues and add a lot of white noise to important issues. Without those factors diluting and polluting the data available to us, we might actually be able to come to a more clear consensus about important problems that require our attention, action, and solutions.

While I remain an agnostic on peak oil, my spider sense tells me, (from many readings on the subject) that we are already at the peak and moving to the other side of the scale. Statistics are showing that most major wells around the World are on the decline, while demand is increasing steadily.

As I have said, I also remain agnostic about the actual causes of Global warming. The science really tends to show that we are in a warming period, (we had one prior to WWII and then a cooling phase) but there are many factors and motivations that are pushing the problem to the masses with hypocritical, feel-good reasons to sacrifice, while the people pushing it are major carbon junkies.

What will life be like without the black gold, that Texas tea? Anyone see Mad Max, Road Warrior, and Thunderdome? And no, there is no pie in the sky yet that will fix this problem at such a late date. The erect, naked apes seemed to have not had the sense to put an emphasis on the survival of the species by planning well enough ahead for that law of the Universe where the fat years yield to the lean years. 6.5 Billion people now stand in the midst of a major, looming crisis with dramatic implications that will bring tremendous change to life as we currently know it.
