52. Your argument fails on two points
The first is obvious, just because you can identify the strain doesn't mean you know where it came from and there is no reason to think we have not or do not share strains with our military allies. The second is in the language you quoted. Notice that Dr. Fauci says 'now we CAN expand on this information by generating ...' which of course if not the same thing as saying that we HAVE done it. So all I would say in agreement with you is that NIAD may in fact be a reputable source for information on the strain used but it is of no value in determining the source of that strain or the location(s) at which it is stored.
