And the context here is that anything the future Democratic nominee, whoever that turns out to be, says or does is going to be twisted by the Rethugs and used against him or her in November 08.

So there is this horrible tightrope our candidates are walking of trying to please the Democratic base and yet not alienate too many of the undecideds, who seem to find it all too easy to be lured in by the Rethugs.
