The primaries should be a "murder board" for our presidential candidates.

No, that doesn't mean actually killing them(mostly).

It means putting all of them through the toughest possible scrutiny. We need to ask the hard questions BEFORE the GOP smear machine asks them. We need these people, all of them, to be absolutely straight with us on all issues and on all personal background questions.

Asking this of our prospective presidential nominees is not disloyal. It is the greatest loyalty of all, the solidarity of truth.

The primaries are the time for all of us to do "due diligence" on the people who would like OUR nomination. We are the ones who will choose them. None of them are doing us a favor simply by lowering themselves to run.

So let's OWN the process and make them come clean, all of them. Learning the ugly truths now can be the difference between victory or defeat in November.
