28. Disturbingly, even the memoryhole.org website has gone down the memory hole
Edited on Sat Nov-24-07 12:38 AM by chill_wind
It appears to have been abandoned- hasn't been updated for more than a year. It's owner was Russ Kick ("winner of the Project on Government Oversight's "Beyond the Headlines" Award 2005")

http://www.thememoryhole.org/

It was an excellent site which was launched in 2002 and which tracked the scrubbing and revisionism of serious stories that had appeared briefly in the meanstream news and internet news media--or in many cases had never been reported at all. It often snatched, preserved and archived the original information as telling evidence.

It also did a lot of interesting FOIA filing and publishing of what was obtained. It also had a related blog (which has also dried up.) The archives are still there and very interesting, but even wikipedia isn't up to date on it's apparent demise. Sad to see aggressive site efforts like that suddenly disappear without explanation to readers and wonder what has become of the owner and or/his inexplicably seeming lost interest..
